25 Years

The remains of the '1 May' outdoors swimming pool complex in the city of Tirgu Mures, Transylvania, Romania...

Over the almost 25 years since the Revolution, the former pool that was once the heart of swimming and water polo life (having nurtured many international water polo players and swimmers) has fallen into ruin.

Apart from it being a sad symbol of decades of post-communist political games and neglect, on the positive side it has become a place of gathering for skate boarders, BMX bikers, graffiti artists.
